For two years we advocated for the return of All My Children and One Life to Live. All of our efforts paid off. These two iconic shows are back in production and scheduled to start airing online through Hulu, Hulu Plus and ITunes on April 29, 2013. Fans of serialized drama continue to prove through their actions that soaps are RELEVANT and in DEMAND.
Save the Soap Genre (SSTG) will continue to promote all things soap related through our EZ Tweets. We attempt to keep up with who is doing what and what shows are out there in this format. We also strive to support serialized dramas that air in prime time.
The site is designed with the intent to make it easier for all soap fans to know the latest campaigns we are working on, as well as the priority tasks. We need to remember that although AMC and OLTL will be returning to the web, we need to support this format. Hopefully in time we will see them return to TV. The future of soap opera and scripted drama is in jeopardy. We must all do everything we can to ensure this genre is here not only today, but in the future. It is part of our culture and our culture must be preserved.
